Hi, I'm new to this stuff I have only been using a computer for about 2yrs. I have a two yr old setup Windows XP Pro and a Epson Stylus C62 I have learned a lot from my mistakes and I guess this is just another lesson. I have been refilling my Generic Cartridges and resetting them without any problems until I thought I could streamline this proceedure by using this fancy SSC Utility tool, well I guess it's a great tool if you know what your doing, but I don't know exactly what I did but the printer now has a flashing green and a steady on Red and keeps telling me ' Black ink Cartridge Not Correctly Installed '??? I've reset something ass backwards, I've reset the chips, changed cartridges, and nothing works the color is fine but it can't see the black,I took out a full cartridge and replaced it with an empty cartridge thinking it would still show full and work fine WRONG!

I would buy another C62 in a second if I knew where to find another one in good condition, it has been a great printer untill I did this! This is the first negitive thing I've seen here about that utility program??? Do I need a new printer or can I restore this one? I know it's not the program it's just the Donkey pushin the buttons??? I'm ONLY need the EPSON Adjustment Program. I change the head of my printer and I need to align this with the EPSON Adjustment Program and this is the only way. I have the Epson service manual but don't have the Adjustment Program for the Stylus Photo 700 and I can't found it.
